Plans for two speculative units have been submitted at the Aero Centre

Trebor Developments LLP has exchanged contracts with Peel Land and Property to acquire a 5.66 acre site at the popular Aero Centre situated at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Working in conjunction with partner Hillwood, plans have now been submitted for an industrial, speculative development, which will deliver two units of 45,380 sq ft and 58,345 sq ft, suitable for manufacturing or distribution uses.

Building on the site, which will be known as Avion, is due to commence in summer 2019 and due for completion in Q2 2020 occupation, subject to planning. CPP and Knight Frank will be retained to lease the units.

Toby Vernon, Partner at CPP, said: “This speculative development provides potential tenants with an excellent opportunity to secure high quality industrial units in an area which is ideally situated on a number of major transport infrastructure links.

“Further development in the surrounding area over the past year or so has helped to further establish Doncaster as an innovative hub within the industrial sector – both regionally, and nationally - and we are confident that interest from businesses will be high.”

Bob Tattrie, managing partner of Trebor Developments, said: “We have worked closely with Peel in relation to the design proposals for the industrial facilities on this site, which will see the next phase of the airport and surrounding land implemented during this year.

“The mid-size industrial units will appeal to a range of local and regional occupiers looking for quality, competitively priced, accommodation to lease and providing unit sizes which are not generally available in the area. We look forward to implementing the scheme this year.”

The development by Trebor and Hillwood is the third in the area to be announced by the partnership, with a speculative 78,458 sq ft unit shortly to commence on site at Atomic, 31 East, Dinnington.
